Braggit: Trivia With Friends · Last updated 30 October 2026
Braggit is a trivia game you play with friends, in the Android and iPhone apps and at playbraggit.com. This page explains what we keep about you, why, and how to delete it. We don't show ads, we don't use advertising IDs, and we never sell your data.
What we keep
- Your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple: your name, email address and profile photo from that account, and an account ID. If you play as a guest, only the name you type and a random guest ID.
- Your games. The games you finish (pack, score, answers right, players in the room), your totals, XP, level and achievements. With each room game you finish, the app sends a random ID made for this install of the app (it doesn't identify your device or you), so we can tell two accounts on one phone from two players when paying rewards.
- Friends. Your friend code, your friends list, friend requests you send or receive, and who invited you to Braggit (and whom you invited), for invite rewards (a request sent by email is stored as a scrambled form of the address, not the address itself).
- Packs you make. The packs you write (title, description, topic, questions, answers and facts), so you can edit them and play them. They're private to you; the players in rooms you host see the questions while they play.
- Room activity. Your answers, reactions and chat messages in a room, kept while the room exists.
- Coins and the shop. Your coin balance, what you've bought or rented, and a record of each change.
- Purchases. When you buy coins or subscribe to Braggit Pro, Google Play or the App Store handles the payment; we receive a purchase record (order number, product, a scrambled form of your account ID, and for Braggit Pro when it renews or ends) to check it and add your coins or open Pro packs. We never see your card or bank details.
- Blocks and reports. The players you block (their name and ID), so we can hide them from you. If you report a player, your report (your account ID, theirs, the reason, your note and their recent chat messages in that room, or the question you reported and the pack it's from) so we can review it.
- Notifications. A device token so we can send game invites, friend requests and news of friends you invited, with your notification settings.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, a crash report (what went wrong in the app's code, your device model and OS version, the app version, and your account ID) so we can fix it. It never includes your chats or answers.
- App usage. In the apps and in the game on our website, anonymous counts of what happens in the game (rooms made and joined, games started and finished, invites and shares, purchases, your device's country and the app's install ID, or on the website a random browser ID kept in a Google Analytics cookie) through Google Analytics for Firebase, so we can see whether Braggit is worth coming back to. It never includes your name, chats, answers or room codes, isn't linked to your account, and isn't used for advertising.
- Question feedback. If you rate a question, your rating (linked to your account ID) and anonymous records of answers, to fix and improve packs.
Why we keep it
To run the game: sign you in, play rooms with friends, show your profile and stats, keep your coins safe, send the notifications you turn on, stop cheating, fraud and abuse (see our community rules), improve the questions and see which parts of the game people enjoy. That's all.
Who processes it
- Google Firebase (sign-in, databases, hosting, notifications, crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics and usage counts through Google Analytics for Firebase), as our service provider.
- Cloudflare (the small server that checks game results and purchases), as our service provider.
- Google Play and Apple, for purchases you make through them, under their own privacy policies.
Other players see your name, avatar, frame, level and game scores, and your online status if you're friends. Nobody else gets your data.
Security
Everything travels encrypted. Coins, purchases and rewards are only changed by our server after it checks them, never by the app itself.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. Room chat and answers go when the room closes. When you delete your account, everything above is deleted, except purchase records, which tax and refund rules require us to keep, and reports, which we keep as moderation records; with your account gone, neither points to you. We also keep a one-way fingerprint of the Google or Apple sign-in you used, which can't be turned back into it, only to stop reward abuse: a new account with the same sign-in doesn't get invite and achievement coins again.
Deleting your account
In the app or on the website, open Settings → Delete account. You'll sign in once more to confirm, and everything is deleted straight away. If you can't open the app, see how to ask us to delete it.
Children
Braggit is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think a child has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
